Elaine Sturtevant
(1930 – May 7, 2014)Elaine Sturtevant, (1930 – May 7, 2014), also known simply as "Sturtevant", was an American artist. She achieved recognition for her carefully inexact repetitions of other artists' works that prefigured appropriation. She's dead at 89.

At the beginning it was the idea of building a small arts library. Then, little by little, the commitment to share it.
Choice, preference, ignorance, evidence, all assumed.
A desire to discover, an encouragement to remember. Sometimes.
