Christiane Möbus

(b. 1947)

Christiane Möbus is one of the most important contemporary German sculptor and object artist (photographer).
She represented an artistic practice that made an early contribution to the extension of the art concept. The artist’s exhaustive investigation into the current possibilities of sculptural work is revealed as both poetic and precise, evincing her interest in an object’s formal and material character as well as in the traces of life that it so often reveals.(...)

Born in 1947 she is also high school teacher.
